Real Estate Agents
What are Real Estate Agents?
Real Estate Agents are licensed professionals who assist clients in buying, selling, renting, or managing residential or commercial properties. They act as mediators between buyers and sellers, or landlords and tenants, working on deals and handling legal documentation, while providing assistance where possible.
Buyers Agents Versus Real Estate Agents
Buyers agents typically operate differently to realestate agents in the sense that buyers agents represent the purchaser as opposed to the vendor. You will find with buyers agents that the commission model works in a similar way to the real estate agent, however you will also find some up front fees included as research is undertaken shortly after engaging their services.
Commission for Real Estate Agents
Unless otherwise stated, Real Estate Agents charge a commission based on the value of the property that is being disposed. This commission will differ between agencies but will typically range from 0.9% to 3.6%.
